Is SimplerChat free?
Yes. All features are free, including the shared calendar, to-dos, recipes, meal plans and assistant tools. Only assistant messages have a daily limit on the free plan. There are no paid feature gates and no ads.
How is SimplerChat different from other family organizer apps?
You don’t have to fill in forms. Send the flyer, the screenshot or the message to your family chat, and SimplerChat adds the events, lists and to-dos to your shared family calendar. Everyone can see what it did and claim a job.
Does everyone need to download an app?
No. SimplerChat runs in the browser on phones and computers. You can add it to your home screen, and people join with an invite link and a Google account.
How do I get SimplerChat to help?
Tag it in a message. It can read photos and PDFs, add events and to-dos, find and update recipes, make shopping lists and meal plans, find places nearby and start a family vote.
Can SimplerChat read my email?
If Gmail connection is available in your settings, you can connect it and ask the assistant to search and read email in your Personal chat. You choose what to share with the family. Access is read-only: it cannot send or change email, and it does not watch your inbox.
Can we keep using Google Calendar?
Yes. Connect Google Calendar and choose which calendars to show. Ask explicitly to create an event in a connected calendar you can edit; otherwise, new events go into SimplerChat’s own calendar. You can also ask it to update individual Google events.
What if it gets something wrong?
Tell it what changed, or edit the event or list yourself. Check important dates, since it can misread a blurry flyer.
What does it remember?
Lasting details your family mentions, like allergies, routines and birthdays. You can see where each memory came from and edit or delete it in the Library.
Can kids use it?
People 13 and older can join, and teens need a parent’s OK. Younger kids show up in the plans.
